Persian Kittens

These two cuties were left in a carrier at Petsmart and ended up at the Yonkers Animal Shelter.

Cat Assistance took them in and they found a fantastic home.

Another Win!!!

These two were personally pulled out from under a house here in Mt Vernon. Their owner had bought them in Florida as puppies and “didn’t know they got big”. They are the two gentlest giants EVER! We love this breed.

The one on the right is now living in Vermont and is a therapy dog for the Alzheimer’s Foundation! The female on the left is living with a St. Bernard sister in New Jersey.

More Happy Endings!!!

Sylvester

Many thanks to all of you who so generously contributed to Sylvester’s eye surgery. Sylvester was recently adopted by a family and is doing wonderfully in his new home. His blind eye has receded, but he will still need the surgery to have it removed. The vet has suggested that we wait until sometime in November to have the surgery done.

The family who adopted Sylvester has asked me to thank all of you personally for your help, and has promised another update after his surgery which I will post. They have also volunteered to pay for his surgery and allow Cat Assistance to use the money that was raised for him to help other needy animals.

Once again, thank you so much for all of your support!

We found this poor guy shaking like a leaf, huddled in the back corner of his cage at the ACC in Manhattan. He was on the list to be put down because he tried to nip the officer who was called out to rescue him. He was tied to a pole in the middle of the city. The poor soul couldn’t see a thing, matted beyond belief. He was deemed unadoptable because he was written up as “biting”.

We took him in, shaved him to the skin, and he went to his forever home where he goes to work every day with his new mom!

SUCH a fun rescue! Love these happy endings!

Athena Before

This little girl went from being our emergency fund dog to a new happy home!

Beautiful Athena was dumped at the Mt Vernon Animal Shelter by an unfeeling monster, left bleeding and with a severe infection. She was so sick and weak that she was not even able to stand.

Fast forward – Athena is now on the mend and happily ensconced in her new home!

Truly a Happy Tale!!!
